Aspen turns FOUR!!!

I know its been said many times many ways but holy cow I can't believe how fast kids grow up. Although I can hardly remember life with out Aspen I still can't believe that she is 4. She has grown up so much in the past couple months and is becoming to smart for her own good. Her favorite thing to do right now is point out what letters are in her name from every sign we past while driving. Pre school has been quite the hit with her. She loves school days (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and loves her friends and teacher. She is learning things that I wouldn't have even thought about teaching her....ie Columbus day She learned the names of the 3 ships, the fact that he thought the earth was flat and found out its round like a ball!! Hum Pretty soon shes going to know more then me. Aspen and Irelynn get a long great for the most part...Irelynn sometimes bites.... but they seem to have the whole playing house thing down. Aspen is always the mom and Irelynn is always the little girl.

For Aspen's birthday this year we had a small little party with the cousins and carved pumpkins. We were planning on going to the pumpkin patch but it was rainy. So Dallas and I went and picked up a couple so we could have a contest! It turned out super fun and I think Aspen really enjoyed the celebration!

Disneyland!!!

In September we took a trip to California. We had a nice vacation the 4 of us. We went to the beach, shopped, eat some great food, got lost a couple of times, and most important we went to... DISNEYLAND!!! It was the girls and Dallas' first time to the magical place! and of course they LOVED it(even Dallas)!! It seems like every time we go on a trip one of the girls gets sick...this time it was Irelynn. She just wanted to sleep in the stroller and seemed to have a high fever the first 2 days which of course were Disneyland days! The first couple of rides the girls got scared of all the people jumping out and the "mean" people and "scary" music. Peter Pans Flight was to first ride we hit, it also had the longest line of the whole trip, 30 minutes! Other then that the lines were not bad! I was so fun watching the girls faces take everything. It was so magical to them! They loved getting their autograph books signed, and Dallas and I loved seeing the parades. We also were there for the first night of there Halloween celebrations! It was fun seeing all the characters dressed up. We had an awesome trip and we can wait to take them back. Next time we will go at least 3 days...2 was just not enough to see everything!

Summer catch up!!

Well I guess since we moved I guess I just haven't found the time to blog much. I have been meaning to do a post for months now about our crazy busy summer. Over the summer we went on 6 camping outings (including lava hot springs, 12 mile, the sand dunes and a couple hunter trups for daddy), couple boating trips, a trip to mesquite to see my grandparents, and last but not least a trip to DISNEYLAND!!! We had a busy yet super fun summer. Along with all our trips we went to the pool at least 2 times a week, the girls still had their swimming lessons.


This was our second year getting a bunch of friends together and doing a boating weekend up at Pineview. It was super fun, there is something so relaxing and peaceful about spending 3 days out on the lake. The kids did awesome again and Aspen even dared to run and jump off the back of the boat. We stay again at the condo where we enjoyed cooking dinner and playing games after a long day on the water. Oh ya and did I mention that I got up on the wakeboard this year for the very first time!!! I have only tried one other time maybe about 10 years ago. It was a ton of fun and it sure did kick my butt the next day.

Lava was another super fun trip that we took this year! We had a group of about 17 trailers and about 50 people go with us this year. The kids and I only dared go on the super lazy river this year do to the stories last year. We have a sweet boat complete with orrs and we enjoyed our trips down. It was a nice cool down in the hot summer sun and it was nice having so many people to hang out with. We took the girls over to the hot pots on night but it was so hot we only put our feet in. I think this will continue to be a fun trip we go on every year!

Happy Birthday Aspen Kate

Today our little big girl Aspen Kate turned 4!!! I know that eveyone says this but really how did those 4 years go by so fast?!? We sure do love that miss sassy pants, and our love for her grows and grows more and more everyday. We are so blesses to have such an angel as our daughter....I just hope I can still say that 10 birthdays from now!! Ha ha! Love you baby girl hope you had a great birthday!
