Simple moments...

This year now that Aspen is in school all day and Irelynn goes in the mornings. Hudsyn and I have a lot of one on one time. We normally swing by the gym after dropping the sisters off and then we enjoy hanging out with just us two! We are best buds. One of my favorite things is she insists that we take a nap together.... And since I'm a big fan of naps, I don't mind :) the laundry and cleaning can wait.

Life

It's been almost 2 1/2 years since I last blogged. I've decided I'm going to try my best to journal/ blog more often. Life moves to fast, and over the past couple of months I've realized that memories are so important and since I'm not guaranteed to be around tomorrow to share my story's with our girls as the grow up. I better write them down. The girls are now 7,5,and 2. How is that possible? Aspen and Irelynn got into American Prepitory Academy this year. Aspen is in first grade and is really excelling in all areas. She just get her 3rd report card and cried over her first B+. She got it in at home reading, which she does nightly but hasn't been good about loging it. She won a ribbon for being in the top two for her geography bee. She's currently learning multiplication and how to tell time and count money. She really likes to learn facts in history and science. Two subjects that this school really advanced in. I'm super proud of how she is doing and the smart girl she is becoming. Irelynn is in kindergarten and has had a little bit of a hard time adjusting. The start them off writing cursive right away (which I think is a little early but what do I know) she's doing really well in math and says it's her favorite subject! She also likes history and loves that they have silly cheers for all there positive inforcment. Is always has a butt load of homework. She HATES doing homework and it's a battle I hate having every night with her to make her get it done. Although if you asked her she'd say she hates school. She is moving right along and doing very well. I am the room mom for her class so I'm in her classroom often. I love watching how they teach with direct instruction and how well mannered and how much respect the kids have for the teachers. The kids always make me laugh with their incident answers. Hudsyn... My little spunky 2 1/2 year old. She's finally come out of her grumpy shell and has shown people her funny personality. She makes us laugh 24/7. Is has been potty trained for 3 months now and right before Christmas she moved in her big girl bed. She done awesome with the change. Never gets out if bed and most nights goes to bed pretty easy. I really enjoys one on one time with her. She loves going to the gym with me and has stolen the hearts of all the people there! She loves to stretch and copy us doing the work outs. She looks up to her sister so much and thinks she's a big girl like them. Which before you know it she will be:( they are going up wayyy to fast. I'm going to try to do a couple posts a week and also do some catch up posts to document some important events that have happened. So here's to a start of my New Years resolution!
