5 years ago today...

5 years ago today we brought our beautiful Aspen Kate into the world. Dallas and I became parents for the first time, and life changed forever. No one can tell you or explain to you what being a parent is going to be like until you experience it first hand. It truly is the most rewarding thing in life... Dallas and I were laying in bed talking the other day about our beautiful 3 daughters, how blessed we are to have them, how much fun it is and has been to watch them grow up. I just wish the time didn't go by so fast!

Today we celebrated Aspen's 5th birthday. We started off with the traditional cake and sing in the morning then we let her open her present....a scooter! This is something she has wanted all summer! I even let her ride it around the house for a while! Then she took it outside and enjoyed the nice weather while riding her new cute red ride around!

Then later we enjoyed some pizza, cake, and pumpkin carving with our family! It was a nice way to celebrate our angels birthday. Happy birthday Aspen we love you so much and are so very proud of the young girl you have become.

Camping with Grandpa

Over the summer a spent a lot of time with Grandpa D before he moved to Chicago to start a new job! The girls realy Enjoy haning out with Grandpa D cause he plays just like a kid with them. We also got to share with him a couple of our favorite spots to go fishing and camping. He also shared with us one of his favorite spots up big cottonwood where we went and had a picnic!

Thanks Grandpa for some fun memories!

4th of July!

For the 4th this year we went to Sara and Jakes for a BBQ and Fireworks! This year we had a pretty impressive but rather scarey firework display. Since they made it so utah can have fireworks that shoot up in the air it seemed like that brought on a lot of other dangers...like...them falling over and shoot right at us. YIKES!! That freaked me out.

Any way The 4th is one of my favorite holidays and It makes it even better when you spend it with people you love and have fun with....plus the girls enjoyed sparklers this year!!

COwAbuNgA BaY!

While Dallas was Hunting with his brother, Nana , Papa, and I decided to take the girls to Cowabunga Bay where we met up with Megan, Josh and Beckham. We had a blast going down the sides, hanging out in the pool, and relaxing in the lazy river! I have been telling the girls I would take them all summer and I'm glad I finally got the chance to take them, cause 5 days later...baby came! It was a nice way to spend our last summer outing together! Thanks girls for a fun day.

Pineview!

Our third annual Pineview trip was a little different this year. We went with NO KIDS! (Minus the 3 unborn babies) We had 5 couples plus Josh and had a blast just being adults and not parents for a weekend! Although we did have some complication with the boat and the condo toilet not working:( We made the best of it and had a lot of fun!

Pineview has been a fun trip that We have looked forward to for the past couple years. But I think it's time to retire it and move on to bigger and better! Next year we are planning a Lake Powell trip!!

Pictures!

At the beginning of July I decided to schedule an appointment to get Irelynn's 3 year old pictures, maternity, and our last family pictures as a family of 4 done. We went to Foto Fly and I was super impressed with them. So impressed in fact that I plan on going back for babies newborn photos!

Our cowgirls!

During the South Jordan town days they had a kids rodeo with muttin busting, and stick pony racing. So we got up early and signed them up that morning! Aspen was super excited about riding a sheep and Dallas even told her that they could go to Reams and pick out a new pair of boots before the big event! She looked so cute all decked out in her Cowgirls best!

It took forever for her time to come, and I think that watching everyone before kinda freaked her out a little. So when her time came she wasn't so sure she still wanted to do it. But after some convincing and bribing she got on and road with dads help.

Irelynn did the stick pony racing! She road that purple pony like a champ and took 1st in her age group! It was so funny watching all the little ones. She got to keep the purple pony and also got a silver dollar for winning!Way to go Irelynn!

SUmMeR!!!!

We are so glad that summer has finally made it to our state!! We have already been so busy with all the fun outdoor things that summer has to offer. We've been to the pool like 5 times, park like 5 times, had numerous BBQs with family and friends, volleyball games, rodeos, hikes, fishing, and camping trips and late night summer walks and bike rides! Oh the joys of being together with the family and going and doing things together! I really don't care if I'm prego forever, I don't want this warm weather to ever go away!
